Our readings as we begin the book of Numbers are set in the same place Exodus ended, at the foot of Mt Sinai. While the Israelites are gearing up for a great adventure to the Promised Land, readers are about to hear of the main theme which lies in grumbling and rebellion. Look at the leadership of Moses as he responds to each crisis.

Connection Points
Don't forget our first Speaker's Night
is Tuesday, Nov 27 @ 6:30 pm
in the Social Room of St Peter's Lutheran Church.
Rev. Dr. Wray Bryant will share some insights and explainations on your
Old Testament readings. This is open to all -- those participating in the
Read the Bible in a Year program and others as well. So bring a friend!!
AND. . . Sunday, Dec 9
We'll try a Second Sunday gathering
during the Sunday School hour beginning at 9:15.
Many of you have requested at least a monthly time to gather with other participants. And, for many of you, the Sunday morning Sunday School time was your preference as well. We will play with our format for this time together. Your input will be appreciated.
We will be looking at other possible options for gathering as well.
Get your second commitment coin!
Check in at the Read the Bible in a Year display beginning Sunday, Dec 9,
and pick up the second in the series of commitment and celebration coins.
The table will be manned before the Second Sunday gathering
at 9:15 in the Social Room.
Before Worship
A second display will be manned in the Narthex
(at the back of the sanctuary) that morning.
After Worship
The Social Room display will be manned again for 15 minutes
after the regular worship service ends.
This second coin is a celebration of your reading thus far!
Displays will also be manned on Dec 16 before Sunday School, before Worship, and at the All Church Christmas Party. If you are unable to pick up your coin either of those Sundays, please be in contact with the church office for a good time that you can stop in to pick one up.
